About this deal

The rear camera set consists of 4 lenses. The main camera is a 12 MP (f/1.7) wide-angle with OIS. With a large 1/1.76-inch sensor, it ensures noise-free images even under poor lighting conditions. It is paired with a 12 MP (f/2.2) ultra wide angle lens. The 64 MP (f/2.0) telephoto lens offers 3x lossless hybrid optical zoom and 30x digital zoom. It is also equipped with optical image stabilisation. The S20 Plus' camera set differs from the smaller S20's in that it includes a fourth camera -- a time-of-flight depth sensor for bokeh mode. The camera shoots 8K video with a frame rate of up to 30 fps. The 10 MP selfie camera captures 4K video at up to 30 fps. Powerful Performance While that’s a faster refresh rate than the 90Hz on the Google Pixel 4, OnePlus 7T Pro or Razer Phone 2, you likely won’t see a difference unless you put those phones side by side with the S20 Plus while it’s bumped up to 120Hz. And yes, the ASUS ROG Phone 2 also offers 120Hz, making Samsung’s flagship line the first non-gaming phones to get the cutting-edge screen tech. Yes, the S20 phones join several other late-2019 and 2020 models in adding the option to refresh the screen more frequently. Most phones operate at 60Hz (meaning the screen refreshes 60 times per second), but on the S20 Plus and its siblings you can opt to up this to 120Hz. Of course, you don’t have to spend even this much and there are other manufacturers offering phones with similar feature sets for considerably less. The OnePlus 7T Pro, for example, has a triple camera array and a high-refresh-rate display, although it’s 90Hz versus the Samsung’s 120Hz. Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus review: Design and key features So, how do these cameras perform? Well, they’re very good but not the best I’ve ever come across. In a side-by-side comparison of shots captured with the iPhone 11 Pro’s 12-megapixel camera (in daylight), I saw a little more contrast and lower noise levels in the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus shots, while the iPhone images looked a touch more natural and neutral overall:

As for the display’s general properties, expect much the same as from the S10 Plus, with a very clear and detailed picture when watching content up to 1440p resolution. Despite technically having a higher-resolution screen than the one on the iPhone 11 Pro Max, both that phone and the S20 Plus showed roughly the same picture when demoing, say, a 1440p video on YouTube – though the Apple phone’s screen does have a slight edge in contrast, showing high-contrast subjects (like a lizard in the sun) in greater clarity. So whether you're editing photos in Photoshop or Lightroom, or parachuting into your one-millionth round of PUBG, the Galaxy S20 Plus has the grunt to keep up. We tested it with media and games, and the phone handled everything without a problem – even when pumped up to 1440p resolution or 120Hz refresh rate, the phone didn’t heat up under pressure. Yes, the S20 Plus has gotten a price bump over the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, presumably due to the added 5G compatibility. It pushes the phone to new heights of flagship prices, which is frustrating – especially given the limited availability of the cheaper 4G model, and notably the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus actually has a lower launch price.I have the Samsung Galaxy S20 plus 5G, for 7 months and am very satisfied with the phone. The only downside to this device is the camera, it's not that high resolution, but other than that I quite like the phone. The price-performance ratio is good, as the phone is not that expensive and delivers great quality with it. The battery lasts approx. one day and then must be reloaded after. The phone is highly recommended. That is, it’s got a bigger display and more battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S20, but it’s not quite as large and pricey as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. If you want affordability, or the best of the best, go with one of the other two; however, we predict that for most folks the S20 Plus will hit the sweet spot. I have had the Samsung S20 with 5G for 7 months and am happy with the phone. It can make calls and display the weather, which is enough. I find that the phone takes good photos and can zoom in up to 30 meters. The phone display is very well made and works flawlessly. The price-performance ratio is good, but I think that the phone deserved a better battery than the previous model for the price.

I have had the Galaxy S20 Plus from Samsung for 6 months and am really satisfied with it. The phone has a good camera and fast response time. Also, there are many ways to set it. I think the phone is a bit big for an average sized hand. But still, it's good. The price-performance ratio is also right. I have had the Samsung Galaxy S20 plus with 5G for almost 7 months now and am perfectly happy with the device. It works great and flawlessly, it doesn't cause any problems or anything. The phone's battery lasts very long and works reliably, and the camera takes great photos as well as videos. The price-performance ratio is very good and you get great value for your money. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus’ 6.7-inch AMOLED display is sharp and vibrant, with WQHD+ resolution (3200 x 1440). The display is a shade taller than the S10 Plus’ QHD+ (3040 x 1440) screen, which is likely due to it having less bezel at the top and bottom. But you likely won’t notice a difference given how similar they are – at least until you get to the refresh rate. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus sports a 6.7-inch punch-hole (Infinity-O) screen of a QHD+ (3200 x 1440 pixels) resolution.Proximity Sensor, Hall Effect Sensor, Light Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor, Accelerometer (G-Sensor), Barometer, Fingerprint Sensor In other words, Samsung pitched this Plus model as more of an intermediate step than simply a larger version – which is a bit of a stretch. There aren’t that many more extras in the S20 Plus than there were in the S10 Plus that warrant the relative price jump… aside from 5G connectivity. Among the benefits of that 120Hz display is that, in games that support it, the onscreen framerate can reach much higher than the usual 60fps you get with phones that have 60Hz screens. In the onscreen Manhattan GFXBench test, the S20 Plus achieved an average frame rate of 105fps, which is among the highest we’ve ever seen in this test. (Note: we attempted to retest the OnePlus 7T Pro in this test but it remained capped at 60fps, despite the 90Hz option being selected in the display settings.) That’s because we’re still in the early days of 5G, so don’t expect this expanded connectivity to be a major selling point this year as carriers build out their networks. In our New York City testing, we bounced through Verizon’s still-piecemeal mmWave 5G area, which provided impressive speeds when we didn’t accidentally step outside the coverage bubbles. OIS F2.0 Tele Camera, 12MP F2.2 Ultra Wide Camera, 12MP (2PD) OIS F1.8 Wide Rear Camera, VGA Depth Camera

Samsung’s S-series phones have always boasted top-tier specs, and the S20 Plus is no exception. Its Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset in the US or Exynos 990 in other countries (including the UK and Australia) and 12GB of RAM baseline breeze through games, media binges, and multi-app multitasking. The Galaxy S20 Plus connects to both mmWave and sub-6 5G networks, making it one of the first mainstream phones to do so at the time. That number has grown since but it remains an attractive option -- in theory, anyway. The Plus stands for more display, more memory, more battery power and a time-of-flight depth sensor. Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G A mega good battery life, lasts easily 2 days with many uses. The phone takes really nice pictures and high-quality videos. The speed and response from the phone is also fabulous. Price-wise, I can highly recommend it, as well as the features. Large display, very good camera, great speakerphone. Camera is pretty good. Zoom works quite well upto 10X and after that pictures tend to lose their quality. Night mode is quite decent and selfie camera is amazing as well.Uswitch Limited is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under firm reference number 312850. That said, having both mmWave and sub-6 makes the S20 Plus available on more carriers, especially ones that only have one or the other. Assuming carriers keep building out those networks and, crucially, in ways that maintain compatibility with the S20 Plus, the phone could be future-proofed for years to come, unlike the mmWave-only Samsung Galaxy S10 5G or sub-6-only OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. Performance And finally, the 30x maximum - note the blurred edges and contrast, evidence that this is a cropped zoom of a larger image. In low light, it’s a different story. This is where the iPhone 11 Pro’s images come to life; they’re more colourful, vivid and true to life and, although the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus’ shots look sharp and full of detail, they are duller and darker:
