This likely reflects the difference between people who work a second job because they want to, and those who work a second job because they have to. I loved that he illustrated the layers of a house- piping, electrical, drywall, paint, and showcased all of the different jobs that go into making one home. His lively, fill-up-the-page artwork and classic sense of humor have endeared him to children for over fifty years.
