I think this book is good because it has very many moments where you want to know what will happen next. So it will make you keep on reading. I also like that it was weird in the book it said I also like that the book was strange at times. In one part it said, "the blood coming from his face looked like chocolate syrup and I want a chocolate ice cream now." It was very weird. The real reason I like this book is because it was very easy to read and if there was more books like this I would read it for sure. While Joy is obviously the main character of the film – full of all of the infectious charms that only Amy Poehler can deliver – Sadness also proves to be a remarkable character. Though obviously many of her lines are played for laughs, there’s something profound about this line. Ashton wasn't compassionate, got busy with other things, and became less and less present. Eventually Ashton cheated - twice - and the couple's marriage ended. Around this time, Demi's use of alcohol and recreational drugs increased, leading to an estrangement from her children. Demi writes, "The girls were angry I'd become so dependent on Ashton. I was addicted to him is the best way I can put it, and I did all the things that addicts do. I prioritized by addiction over my needs and the needs of my family." I know that sounds like the perfect life. But as I would soon find out, if you carry a well of shame and unresolved trauma inside of you, no amount of money, no measure of success or celebrity, can fill it. She was married to actor Ashton Kutcher before divorcing in 2013. She writes about having two threesomes with Kutcher that left her with feelings of shame. "Because we had brought in a third party into our relationship, Ashton said, that blurred the lines and, to some extent, justified what he's done," Moore writes about Kutcher cheating on her. Moore recalls a time when Kutcher told her that "I don't know if alcoholism is a real thing." [18] She also recalls a time she was drinking with Kutcher and she passed out in a hot tub in Mexico. Curiosity got the better of me and so I borrowed it from the library. However, the audio version was available on Scribd and I ended up listening to the book instead. Her narration is top- notch. Occasionally, in the beginning of the book she did speak a little too rapidly, as though she were in a hurry to finish the task. In 2003, Demi revived her career by making Charlie's Angels Full Throttle. While Demi was in New York doing advanced press for the movie she met Ashton Kutcher, and it was kismet!! Demi and Ashton had an instant connection, though she was 15 years older than him. (People made a big deal out of this, but had nothing to say about Bruce Willis marrying a woman 25 years younger than himself. The hypocrisy is stunning!!) Inside Out is a great children's movie not just because it is bright and fun but also because of the very worthwhile messages at its core. While animated movies deal with serious issues sometimes, Inside Out might achieve it better than any other movie. Did you know you can flag iffy content? I’ve read the tabloid stories and wondered how much of what I read was true. It was nice that the information was coming straight from Demi. Of course, there are always other sides to almost every story. But overall, I didn’t feel like Demi trashed anyone. She just told her truth.

The Epilogue is particularly touching. I get the sense that Demi is finally in a comfortable space. Both in her body and in her place in the world. Just as the book opens with her questioning her life, the ending has her pondering and accepting it. The good, the bad, the highs and lows. The people she has loved and the people she is yet to love. The book is told through the first-person view of Zach. Zach is a very mentally unstable person who ends up stalling the robbers. Zach's character seems very annoying and childish towards everyone in the book. Everyone seems to be annoyed by everything Zach does. And then there was her discussion of Ashton Kutcher. I realize that the end of their marriage was one of the more difficult periods of her life and that there may be some resentment. And honestly her discussion of infidelity didn't bother me at all. But there was a scene where she blamed him for the fact that she chose to drink alcohol again after being clean and sober. This really bothered me. It is not responsible to put that burden on any other human being. I understand that we can trigger one another and that is especially true in close relationships. However, it is important that we take ownership of our own failings, weaknesses, addictions... Though short overall, this book and story really brings out the true fun plus enjoyment of dealing with different emotions. Whether young, old, or in between, just about everybody who might read Inside Out can relate to life-adjustments (like relocating during school-hood) and all related quirks meanwhile!
