Most dudes that hit it long but want the P+3 will ditch a 3-wood. It's usually close to driver/4w/3h/4-P+3. Some can't get by without a 3-wood for a second driver, and they have a multitude of other choices. Generally, though, the guy that can't live without a 44" 2-wood is the guy that can deal without P+3. Not so. Despite having the same length shaft, the 52° came up 16 yards short of the PW. With the 50°, the difference was still 12. The PW just had a hotter face, and the CGs carried the ball a little shorter than expected. Putter: Snake Eyes Viper Tour Sv1, 34" -or- Cleveland Huntington Beach #1, 34.5" -or- Golden Ram TW Custom, 34" -or- Rife Bimini, 34" -or- Maxfli TM-2, 35" By chance, the 46° PW had the same shaft length as the 50° and 52° CGs. So, I assumed I would need the 52° to get distance separation between the two because of equal shaft length. I generally play shorter course, 5800-6200 courses. This leaves me with a lot more shorter approaches to green.

The finish of a Titleist wedge is mostly down to personal preference. Raw finished will spin a little more thanks to the additional abrasion on the face which will build up over time. Tour Chrome or Satin is the preferred choice of most professionals and amateurs alike. The darker finishes will help reduce glare on super sunny days. wedge 12* bounce has a fairly narrow sole used for full swing 100 yard shots and also lower pitch shots and some chip shots depending on lie. I used to play the classic 52-56-60 but noticed that i hardly ever used the 56, and as a old short hitter i took out the 56 and added a wood in the long end.

So my PW is 46, for me I played around with shafts, bounce and head shape. What I ended up doing was a 50* gap wedge, 55* SW and a 60* LW. The reasons for this were.... Yep. My PW is 46, so 50,54,58 provides a nice even spacing. I hit way more wedge shots in a round than long irons, so I dropped the 3 iron.While the 50-54-58 wedge set is a popular choice, it is not necessarily the best option for every golfer. Some golfers may prefer a different combination of loft angles, depending on their swing and the type of shots they typically encounter on the course. PW, 50,54, 58 for me. Played the combo all last season and love it. My gaps are as follow, mainly due to groove difference between PW and 50 I used to just play a 46* PW and my next club was a 56* SW, which left me with the awkward decision to chip a PW or hammer a SW pretty often. In their infancy, the Vokey mission was a simple one. Listen to players describe their wedge shots, and craft a wedge grind that performed exactly how the player wanted. We look specifically at the Vokey SM7 wedge and go through each grind. If you're a more advanced player who wants many options and the top of your bag is covered, you can use a set up with either a 58 or 60 degree but by this stage of your golfing career, you should understand exactly what you want your wedge to do:

If you have a pretty solid repeatable golf swing, you will expect to hit a 58 degree wedge around 80 yards with a full shot. As most players only take half swings or three quarter swings with their wedges the distances can vary from 50 to 105 yards. Ball: 1. Srixon Q-Star Tour / 2. I carry 52 and 58 now, I am generally regarded as the best wedge player in our club - not big headed but I would generally get up and down around 8 or 9 items out of ten from within 60 yards of the green. Any one use 48 54 58 wedges? People with 52 in their bag How often do you hit a full 52 or even use 52 It is also worth noting that the 50-degree wedge is not always included in wedge sets. Some golfers may opt for a 52-degree gap wedge instead, while others may choose to use their pitching wedge as a gap wedge and only carry a sand and lob wedge.
