About this deal

By far our most popular tennis ball, the Wilson US Open Tennis Ball has long been considered the gold standard for hard court tennis ball performance. This ball has been the Official Ball of the US Open for over 4 decades and is known for its premium woven felt that delivers fast, consistent flight and rebound. This iconic model is a great choice for intermediate to advanced players who are looking for a tournament-level ball, and is available in Extra Duty, Regular Duty and High Altitude.

Regular Duty tennis balls are developed for softer surfaces – like clay or indoor courts. Increased moisture and dirt can cause these balls to fluff up more than Extra Duty balls, though they use a thinner felt woven more tightly around the core to resist this fluffing. These balls play faster, but are less durable than Extra Duty, and they can be easily identified by their red Wilson logos. High Altitude I’ve rated the ball at an 8/10 as I was very satisfied with the level of RPMs that this ball was and is able to generate.

Comments: Very good balls. Best Wilson balls available. Best quality - consistence. These are finely balanced and provide consistent bounce. Weight on strokes is also very good - medium to slightly light. They do wear out very fast - 2 sets per can, and they are nearly bare. Pressure maintains well.

Still, when faced with a shelf full of different tennis ball cans, it’s difficult to know which one is the right one for you and your game. Look no further, our tennis ball experts have taken the guesswork out of selecting a tennis ball in our Wilson Tennis Ball Guide. Wilson Tennis Ball Guide Being recognized as a premium level ball, I would have been disappointed if I’d paid for a ball which was dead straight out of the can. We mentioned that not all tennis balls are created equal, but what does that mean? Below we explore some of our most popular tennis balls, as well as what kind of player and surface they are intended for.

Right now we play powerful, and we kind of can't loosen up our hands with these balls. We make more mistakes, for sure, so I don't think that's really nice to watch visually." The White Wilson tennis balls are a standout tennis ball edition to celebrate Wilson’s 100 year anniversary. A retro design for vintage vibes, these balls are of premium quality and manufactured with extra duty. Great for any tennis surface, whether grass, clay or hard courts. Wilson US Open Tennis Balls Comments: These are the best balls out there, along with the Dunlop Grand Prix XD's. These balls have great pressure maintenance. The felt doesn't poof out, and they bounce great. Unlike the Penn ATP's, these balls don't lose pressure after one and a half sets, and they don't poof out like the Penn ATP's either. I can use these for three sets with no pressure loss (and I hit the ball hard). What else do you need? Highly recommended. You can't go wrong with these or the Dunlop Grand Prix's. These are little pricier than the GP's though. Either way, you're good to go. Comments: I hate this ball. I had a hard time hitting consistently solid shots with ball. It seems a bit light and airy. I prefer the Slazenger Wimbledon's. Now that's an awesome ball.

In football coaches can shout, even though there's 11 grown men on the field and they should know what to do. They probably know the tactics, but he's still talking."

I think that figuring it out for yourself on the court is a massive part of our sport. I just feel like we're losing an important part of tennis."
