QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
On the control panel, there are 2 knobs: one to adjust the looper features such as the memory, volume level, and fade-out time of the looper and the other one to adjust the rhythm parameters such as the volume level, pattern type, and bpm. There are LED indicators that help you on the way to a more effortless user experience.
When weight is concerned, the Donner looper is significantly heavier – at 265g the Nux is over 100g lighter!! KHZ 24bit Looper: The pedal boasts a high-quality 44.1kHz 24-bit looper, ensuring top-notch audio quality for your recordings and loops. The recording quality you get with the Circle is exceptional – at 24bit it’s on par with the Headrush Looperboard!! 16bit is what you’ll usually find in loopers at this price range.
Unlike some cheap loopers, the Circle does support an external foot-switch. Something that we’d say makes it the ideal weapon for gigging!! It is a highly portable looper pedal that weighs around 0.86 Ibs (0.39 kg) and has measurements of 4.76” (12.1 cm), 2.22” (5.6 cm), and 3.9” (9.9 cm). It won’t take much space on your pedalboard, which is a great plus for crowded pedal setups.
Connecting an external expression pedal is just as easy with the Donner looper as it is with the Digitech. Both these loop stations support external expression/ sustain pedals. If your a Soloist or play in a Duo like myself this pedal may satisfy your needs in a live situation. If your wanting to add vocals to the loop chain and use other instruments you may have to think this through. The selection of rhythms is pretty good, overall. Although of course it does fall short of what pedals like the Boss RC-505 MKII offer (over 200 rhythms with variations and multiple options for drum kits). It’s also missing options for things like fills that can really bring the patterns to life. Additional Looping Features and Memory
