Created to meet the rapidly growing demand for low alcohol beer, Ghost Ship Alcohol Free has all the same flavours and aromas as Ghost Ship but is no apparition, treating pale ale lovers to 100% of the taste but at 0.5% ABV – spooky! An American-style wheat beer, Drink’in the Sun showcases the brewery’s own yeast, which is known for its fruity flavours. With no compromise on taste, Ghost Ship Alcohol Free is a mere 21kcal per 100ml providing a low alcohol but great tasting tipple for those counting calories or looking for a invigorating drink for the approaching summer days and nights.Inspired by a staple of a Swedish childhood, rose hip soup, this beer fuses rose hips with grains and hops to produce flavours featuring everything from cider apple to tea and raspberry. Sure, there are still some terrible ones out there. But there are also loads of brands producing quality non-alcoholic beers and alcohol-free lagers, some of which rival their higher-ABV equivalents in taste, aroma and body. There’s some classic flowery, spicy and fruity hop aromas and a light body with gentle carbonation. With a fruity aroma and flavour and a raspberry and oak in the aroma, this one’s great for a hot summer’s day, especially if you prefer your ales but want something a bit more refreshing. We are using a very clever piece of kit that allows us to brew our Ghost Ship as normal but then send a batch to our brand new de-alcoholisation equipment. This uses reverse osmosis which removes most of the alcohol via a permeable membrane under pressure and a low temperature. It’s all very high tech magic allowing our Ghost Ship to sail away free from alcohol but remaining full of its original ­flavours and aromas.” For those opting to stay away from alcohol, whatever the reason, our low-alcohol and alcohol-free range has become even more interesting, with two new additions.In the flavour, the tropical fruits are joined by pale and wheat malts with a decent hit of bitterness.
