How pretty are all of these swatches? I have to admit, the bright teal shade in the top row was what as putting me off the entire palette as I’m very much a neutral palette girl. However, if you cover that teal shade up, the rest of the palette is a lot more wearable. I really wanted the colors and the textures of this palette to feel as out of this world and as ethereal as the inspiration for the palette. Crystal AB actually stands for Aurora Borealis, which is another name for the insane Northern Lights display and the reason the crystals were given their name, as the prismatic colors of Crystal AB look just like the famous colorful night sky display. Everything from the glistening pinks and purples and unique teal colors that Crystal AB and the Aurora Borealis are synonymous with are reflected in our multi-dimensional palette.

I own a lot of the Huda Beauty eyeshadow palettes; I love them. The New Nude Palette is my all time favourite neutral palette, but the Huda Beauty Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette was a palette which I never got round to purchasing. I prefer to wear neutral looks with maybe a pop of colour, rather than an over colourful palette, and I think this palette is perfect for that. It does contain ‘some’ colour, but they are more muted if you were to ignore Haze. Although I can imagine Haze looking really pretty buffed into the lash line for a simple summer makeup look.

True story: It turned out we were making our palette during Mercury retrograde (typically a chaotic time) and as soon as we realized, we knew there was no better name for this space-inspired palette. So, although the period during Mercury retrograde can feel crazy ( find out why here), this palette is the perfect way to express yourself and let your creativity and self-expression run riot.
