Turton Towers has a long and varied history with many famous occupants including Humphrey Chetham, who founded the famous music school in Manchester. At this point there’s another out-and-back leg to reach the White Hill Trig point, just outside of Yorkshire in Lancashire. I presume when that is the case and sponsors change there has to be as lot of messing about changing the name again?
