He was able to provide “evidence” but such “evidence” is usually (not always) circumstantial and nothing but rationalisation of the people of those times to attribute their actions to some sort of spiritual endeavour to justify themselves. If there is one thing I believe the author wants the reader to take from this book, it is to be aware of our biases and internal coloniality and how we came to our present situation.
