We use a premium silver giftwrap paper with a subtle two-tone patterned effect, and a hand tied silver ribbon. This, as previously mentioned, is a downside to the breathing holes in the barrel as this stops the Perkeo from being used as an eye dropper. Visually, the octagonal cap and the 16-sided barrel harmonise perfectly with each other, as the surfaces at the different angles create a unique play of light and shadow. They are octagon shaped and a bit wider than the Sport caps--so the Kaweco clips will not fit on these pens.For a kid or student then yes, for an adult I might recommend spending slightly more and going for a Sport instead. You will probably still have to pay some form of import duty to your local tax authorities when your parcel arrives. When screwing the barrel back in to place there is resistance for the last part turn which helps to secures it. The Pelikan and Schneider are more comfortable to hold, but I think much of this is due to the rubber overlays which almost certainly will wear and split in time.
