About this deal

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , Firefly Lane showrunner Maggie Friedman said: “I hope that people who are big fans of the book can watch the show and be like, ‘Oh, my God, there’s that moment I remember! Seeing as the first season of Firefly Lane took a healthy serving of cues from the original novel, fans are hoping that a second season would do the same thing. And, Marah’s attraction to Paxton – we can see that they are both in really bad places and certainly shouldn’t be together because of that, but if we think back to being a high school girl, it’s easier to understand why she made the choices she did.

And then something momentous happens which causes each one of them to realise what they ve done, and what they have become.I think it’s best to read the first book in the series before it but this novel can definitely stand on it own as a highly engaging read. Unexpectedly, Cloud, who rebuffed Tully's every attempt to reconcile, also appears at her daughter's bedside. Tully is having a sort of out-of-body experience and Kate’s spirit is guiding her through her memories. Aging isn't easy for any woman in the public eye, but it may be proving especially difficult for Tully Hart, the ex-star of the once-phenom talk show The Girlfriend Hour. I'm glad that despite your heart breaking though, you were still able to enjoy the writing style and it kept you flipping pages to the very end.

It was one bad thing after another, but I just had to know how things were going to end up for Tully and Marah. All this comes down to the fact that I just don’t think the structure of this book worked the way Kristin Hannah intended it to. Told primarily from Tully's POV, we learn that in the years following her best friend's death, Tully has been in a downward spiral of drugs and alcohol.

It was too sad, there was too much depression, and drugs, and cutting, and anxiety and it was just too much. First, remember when texting was new and you had numbers with letters to push the correct number of times? It seemed like there was a lot of repeating of the story background from "Firefly Lane" for ones who hadn't read that book before.
