Where I live, my only choices for high speed internet is dsl with a phone company that will never get my business again, or over cel phone towers. This router, along with a 3rd party ISP (NOT the isp these are branded for) works great for home internet that can be taken along while traveling. Anywhere there is cel phone service I have internet service. We also recommend doing a walk test of the location to find the strongest cellular signal, which will generally result in best performance. Another method is to use your smartphone as a guide - wherever you tend you have the best cellular performance (i.e., voice quality and/or data service), your NETGEAR mobile router will often also work best in those locations.

I bought this in preparation for an Arizona snowbird trip next month. Not getting any answers from the RV parks in Arizona I decided to find my own solution. 4G is plenty fast for myself. At any rate my cell carrier limits me to 60GB per month, with the threat of throttling my speed if I surpass that. I probably will based on what I use now, about 3GB per day.
