It was a magical kingdom that stood against La Dame, she defeated them by enacting the curse 😡😡 Etta is determined to break the curse once and for all!!💥 When I learned that this was a Rapunzel retelling I was overly extatic because everyone who knows me even slightly knows Rapunzel is my favorite story/princess and that I luuuurve everything concerning our extremely long-haired gal. The next day, Midas, woke up eager to see if his wish would become true. He extended his arm touching a small table that immediately turned into gold. Midas jumped with happiness! He then touched a chair, the carpet, the door, his bathtub, a table and so he kept on running in his madness all over his palace until he got exhausted and happy at the same time! She was just as fierce as she was in Golden Curse but there was more vulnerability to her because of the situations that she finds herself in. When we left her in the first book, she was being brought before the king and things go downhill from there. My favorite part of the book was the beginning because we get to see her go through terrible things and come out the other side. She is beginning to realize who she is and what is needed from her because of the curse and the magic that she possesses. It was amazing to see her journey continue with new characters being introduced and having to battle for those she cares for again.
